Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Holiday Installation Technician is responsible for the assembly, timely delivery, and professional installation of holiday decor and related materials at client locations. The technician ensures all items are properly cleaned, prepped, installed, and later stored according to company standards and departmental instructions, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver and install holiday trees, wreaths, garland, props, containers, and related décor to client premises based on daily assignments. Coordinate with sales and design team members and holiday operations management to complete installations accurately and efficiently. Work independently or with a team to prep, load, and transport materials safely. Ensure all items are cleaned, prepped, and presented according to company quality standards. Follow specific installation instructions and layout plans provided by the sales or design teams. Protect client spaces by maintaining a clean work environment and using care around furnishings and surfaces. Address client concerns professionally and communicate any issues or follow-up needs to the appropriate department. Exercise responsible handling of company vehicles, tools, and property. Support greenhouse or grounds operations as needed when not on holiday installation assignments. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Independence of Action:
Operates with moderate independence in daily assignments. Consults with the Holiday Manager, Operations Manager, and sales and design team members for special projects or atypical installations. Collaborates with various departments to ensure efficient scheduling and successful execution.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in driving box trucks and transit vehicles is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided if necessary. Ability to safely lift and transport large or heavy boxes, containers, and other materials.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good time management and organizational abilities. Courteous and professional demeanor when working in client spaces. Ability to follow visual layout instructions and communicate effectively.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs). Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods. Comfortable working indoors and occasionally outdoors. Occasional climbing or working at various heights (e.g., ladders or stairwells).
Work Environment:
On-site at a variety of client locations including offices, lobbies, atriums, and commercial spaces. Work also performed in greenhouse and outdoor loading/staging areas. Must be comfortable working in varied environmental conditions and physical settings. Weekend and overtime work is to be expected.
