Job Description

About us: EIG Property Management is a trusted provider of high-quality property management services in the Twin Cities. We manage over 1,400 apartment rental units, offering exceptional living spaces throughout the area. The Project Renovation Specialist at EIG Property Management is a seasonal job (through September 2026) responsible for executing renovation and construction work across assigned property portfolios, ensuring all inventory units are market-ready, well-maintained, and aligned with company standards. This role supports overall property performance through effective project coordination, inventory oversight, and cost-efficient renovation practices. The position also involves managing property readiness, maintaining quality standards, and utilizing technology to track progress, communicate updates, and ensure timely completion of projects. All responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable fair housing laws and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform turn improvements and repairs, such as light fixtures, faucets, cabinet hardware, basic tile backsplashes, luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring, wall patching, painting, window replacement and more.. Utilize hand and power tools for demolition and construction tasks efficiently and safely Follow defined scopes of work with strong attention to detail, timelines, and cost control Execute repairs and aesthetic upgrades to hallways, lobbies, and outdoor spaces Conduct inspections of inventory units to assess readiness and identify necessary repairs Follow detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for required improvements Handle light mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks that do not require a master's license (e.g., swapping outlets, clearing drains, replacing garbage disposals). Track and ensure completion of renovation projects within assigned portfolio Regularly inspect ongoing and completed renovation work for quality assurance Source materials that balance quality and cost-effectiveness Utilize technology (mobile devices, tablets, laptops) to manage work orders, track time, and report progress Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Prior construction or renovation experience Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting, and general home finishing Experience using tools for demolition and construction work Detail-oriented with a proactive and positive approach A proven track record of showing up on time, every day, ready to work. Ownership of a dependable personal vehicle or a secure, consistent plan for daily transport to various, sometimes remote, job sites Respect for start times and break times, recognizing that "time is money" and tardiness disrupts the entire crew. A strong work ethic and commitment to finishing tasks, rather than jumping between jobs or quitting during difficult phases Proactive identification of hazards, adherence to OSHA regulations, and proper use of PPE, aimed at zero accidents Honesty in reporting hours and workmanship, essential for maintaining trust on-site.

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour
