Job Description

Hello! Non-union Art Department supports larger scale production on reality project. Previous Art Department experience and Reality / Renovation experience preferred. HGTV Renovation experience a MASSIVE plus. We are looking for some Art PAs to join our team on a series of renovations in the area for a new restaurant renovation show, as well as helping out in our warehouse.
  • Dates are still in flux, would need to be fully available from October 11 to October 24.
  • Rate is $1500, six day weeks that are are paid on a day rate.
Five day weeks during prep. OT after 12 hours if necessary.
Some responsibilities include:
1. Assisting our Lead Person, Art Coordinator, and Warehouse PA with managing warehouse needs, including ingesting packages, inspecting and testing props, and constructing furniture such as tables and chairs. 2. Assisting carpenters with light construction tasks, including painting, staining wood, light construction of set pieces. 3. Using packing supplies to carefully package props and furniture for transport. 4. Loading and unloading trucks, including decorations, culinary equipment, and furniture. 5. Occasionally going on runs in production vehicles including box trucks, cargo vans, and minivans for things such as props, crafty, lunch, and furniture. 6. Helping clean up the warehouse, trash sweeps, recycling boxes, assisting with returns and helping maintain our warehouse space. 7. Assisting Art Directors, Assistant Art Directors, and Shoppers as needed. 8. Will assist on renovation days by working overnight or day shifts, in which you will be loading furniture off of trucks, painting, placing furniture, hanging picture frames and artwork, cleaning, placing decorations and other similar tasks. 9. May be tasked with helping greek at restaurants, including hanging curtains, putting tape over logos, applying window frost, etc. 10. Handle lunch orders for Art Department team as needed.
Requirements:
  • [ ] Must be local to Kansas City, MO and able transport themself to and from the warehouse and the renovations.
  • [ ] Must be willing to work six day weeks
  • generally a Sunday to Friday schedule.
  • [ ] Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • [ ] Ability to drive box trucks, cargo vans, etc.
