In this role, you will utilize your expertise in woodworking, and construction to create, install, and restore structures with skillful attention to detail. Whether working on custom cabinetry, framing, or restoration projects, you'll play a vital part in transforming ideas into tangible results. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple facets of woodworking and construction industries while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood components for diverse projects including framing, furniture, siding, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Perform framing carpentry tasks such as wood stud framing and heavy timber construction for commercial or residential structures. Assist with construction estimating by calculating material needs and project timelines. Conduct restoration work including restoring furniture, building and/or modifying new or existing wood projects. Fabricate custom wood pieces using CNC machinery or traditional techniques to meet specific project requirements. Install cabinetry, fixtures, and custom furniture with precision and care. Willingness to help other departments as needed. Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times on construction sites by adhering to safety protocols and proper use of tools. Assist in the assembly of structural components or furniture pieces in manufacturing or remodeling environments. Qualifications Proven experience in carpentry or woodworking with knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading. Furniture focus. Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, saws, sanders). Familiarity with construction site procedures including heavy lifting and safety practices. Ability to perform framing carpentry tasks such as framing furniture, chairs, etc. Experience with fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry installation, siding application, and renovating projects. Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings for precise project execution. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces when necessary. Additional skills such as CNC fabrication, sewing, foam, wood finish, and other furniture related experience are a plus. Join us in delivering exceptional craftsmanship through dedication and skill!
