Job Description
After more than 60 years in furniture manufacturing, Built by Newport has established itself as a leader in the hardwood furniture industry and as one of Vermont's finest handcrafted furniture manufacturers. We are dedicated to growing our team members through training and development. Though we value prior woodworking experience, we are more than happy and willing to train the right candidates. Ensuring a culture of learning that is challenging and fun is important to us. That's why growing our team with dedicated, hard working individuals who want to grow with us is our priority. Full time, Day Shift Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Assemble wooden parts to form fully assembled furniture Operate hand and measuring tools Apply glue on surfaces to be joined Perform various methods of sanding and cleaning of products Inspection of products Perform daily cleaning tasks in department Minimum qualifications: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to multi-task Experience in manufacturing or related is a plus, but not required Experience and/or willingness to learn how to use various sanding tools
