JOB DESCRIPTION

Ohlinger Industries is a leader in component repair for the commercial and military aviation industries. The company is well established and has been operating in the Phoenix area for over 60 years. We are currently looking for a skilled Grinding Operator to join our team. This candidate must be able to set up and operate manual and CNC grinders. Ability to machine a variety of aerospace components. Overhaul and repair experience is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years minimum experience
• Ability to set-up, operate, and monitor Manual Surface, ID, and OD Grinders as well as CNC Kellenberger grinder to produce high-precision parts
• Must have experience with measuring tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, and Indictors
• Maintain tight tolerances (±.0002 / ±.0005 as required)
• Inspect finished products for adherence to specifications
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, sketch sheets, department set-up sheets, and work orders
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining
• Select and dress grinding wheels according to material and tolerance requirements
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure optimal performance
• Keep a clean and orderly work environment
• Collaborate with co-workers to troubleshoot and resolve production / part issues
• Willingness to expand skills through cross training and instruction Schedule
• Day Shift
• 10-hour Shift (Monday - Thursday)
• Opportunity for overtime may be available on an as needed basis.
