Job Description

Position Overview We are hiring a Bench / Deburr Technician. In this job you will deburr parts of all levels of complexity, made from all types of materials, using all applicable deburr media and tools. This is an entry- to mid-level position. It is a good fit for someone who is mechanical, is comfortable using tools, and has excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail. Any prior experience is a plus. You will also read prints at a moderate level, follow customer specifications, do light assembly work, and mark or stamp parts before shipment as required. What You Will Do Deburr parts of all levels of complexity and all types of materials, using all applicable deburr media and tools. Finish all materials to close tolerance and examine the surface of each workpiece for defects. Secure the workpiece to the bench or table and guide an abrasive polishing wheel over it to remove scratches and other defects from metal surfaces, to the specification. Select the correct grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk based on specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and the condition of the metal, and attach it to the grinder. Read prints at a moderate level and follow customer specifications. Assemble items such as bearings, inserts, and helicoils. Use different adhesives to complete a variety of installation and assembly tasks. Mark or stamp products before shipment as required by compliance requirements. Skills You Need (Required Skills) Follow instructions and read & interpret plans, work orders, blueprints, or drawings to determine the bench operations needed. Extensive knowledge of using hand tools, power tools, and abrasives for deburring. Use measuring tools and examine parts for defects. Able to lift 40 lbs. How You Work (Soft Skills) Be mechanical and comfortable using tools. Have excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail. Follow instructions and work carefully to the specification. Be reliable, work hard, and be a good team player. Produce high-quality, precise work with as little scrap as possible.
Work Schedule options:
Monday Thru Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm (4 x 10 Hour days, Friday off or OT)
Wages & Benefits:
Competitive hourly pay. 1 week of vacation to start, you earn more time the longer you stay. 6 sick days per year (48 hours). Paid holidays.
Medical insurance:
the company pays 80% for the employee. You can add dependents, a spouse, or partner at your own cost.
Dental insurance:
the company pays 90% for the employee. You can add dependents, a spouse, or partner at your own cost.
Vision benefits:
optional, available at a small cost to you. 401(k) profit sharing (at least 3% from Spectron) once you are eligible.
