Full Job Description Machine Operator:
Die Cutter & Laminator Operator (2nd Shift 1:30pm - 10:00pm) Position Summary The Die Cutter & Laminator Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Spartanics M500 die cutter and D&K laminator production line. This position ensures efficient production, maintains quality standards, troubleshoots equipment issues, and supports the timely completion of manufacturing orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Spartanics M500 Die Cutter Operations
  • Set up and prepare the Spartanics M500 die cutter for production runs.
  • Install, remove, and change dies as required by job specifications.
  • Read and interpret work orders and production requirements.
  • Monitor registration, alignment, and overall product quality throughout production runs.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company and customer standards.
  • Conduct basic machine troubleshooting and make adjustments to maintain efficient operation.
  • Maintain production flow and minimize downtime.
  • Record production information and report equipment or quality concerns to supervision. D&K Laminator Operations
  • Set up and operate the D&K laminator line according to job specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings to accommodate various substrates, stocks, films, and laminates.
  • Monitor lamination quality, including adhesion, appearance, and consistency.
  • Identify and correct quality issues during production.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and preventive upkeep.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and finished products throughout the laminating process. General Responsibilities
  • Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Meet production schedules and productivity goals while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
  • Assist with machine maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, and production team members.
  • Support additional production activities as assigned.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist with the operation of other production equipment and manufacturing processes as needed to support production goals and workflow requirements.
  • Cross-train on additional equipment and provide support to other departments or machine operators when workloads require. Qualifications
  • Experience operating die cutting and/or laminating equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with Spartanics M500 die cutting equipment and D&K laminating systems preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read work orders, production specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and operate production equipment safely.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery and production noise. Success Factors

Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
