In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various grinding and machining equipment to produce high-precision metal components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to safety standards in production. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to quality manufacturing processes while working with advanced machinery such as CNC grinders, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, and press brake machines. Duties Set up and operate grinding machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining tools to produce components according to technical specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to ensure proper fabrication and assembly. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions and quality. Maintain and adjust CNC programming for laser cutting, plasma cutting, or machining operations to optimize performance. Conduct routine inspections of machined parts for quality control, ensuring adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards. Prepare tooling setups and perform machine calibrations to ensure precision in manufacturing processes. Operate forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment safely for loading raw materials or finished products. Follow safety protocols strictly while handling electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, or press brake machines. Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving sheet metal welding, assembly, or tooling adjustments. Document production activities accurately and report any machine malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Skills Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, and EDM equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively. Experience with tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance of machining equipment. Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality assurance. Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other measurement tools. Familiarity with safety standards related to manufacturing environments including press operation and machine guarding. Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and process adjustments. Competence in sheet metal fabrication techniques such as stamping, welding, or forming. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing setting. Understanding of manufacturing workflows including assembly processes and tooling management. Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
