2nd shift: Monday -Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am ( Must train on 1st shift ) Are you experienced working in a machine shop environment? We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our growing team! This role plays a critical part in supporting machining and fabrication operations by accurately preparing metal materials for production. What You'll Do Set up and operate horizontal and/or vertical band saws Cut steel, aluminum, and other metal materials to precise specifications Read blueprints, cut lists, job travelers, and mechanical drawings Measure and mark materials using precision tools Select proper saw blades for various materials and thicknesses Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning Ensure materials meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances Report equipment issues and material defects Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the shop Qualifications Minimum 1 year of band saw or related cutting equipment experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Familiarity with metals and alloys used in manufacturing Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and efficiently Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable standing for extended periods Strong commitment to workplace safety
