Job Description

Accountability:
Reports to Production Manager and Manufacturing Supervisor.
Job Summary:
Removes burrs from sleeves, spools and housings using a variety of hand held tools per Blue Prints, written and or verbal instructions.
Duties and responsibilities:
Interprets Blue Print requirements for edge breaks by blending, buffing, or blasting away hanging burrs using a variety of abrasives and tools. Identify any possible nicks and dings and properly repair while maintaining blueprint specifications. Wash parts using a washer removing FOD. Use Glass bead and aluminum oxide machines to clean and or deburr parts. Responsible for complying with the Company Policies and Quality System Standards. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Skills and Education Requirements:
Preferred one year deburr experience or one year OJT Must be proficient with basic math Ability to interpret Blue Print and Traveler requirements is necessary Proficient use of comparator is desirable. Ability to comply with company policies
Inter-Relationships:
Contact with Inspection, Machinists, and shipping.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Uses solvents and abrasives such as Aluminum Oxide, Glass Bead, mounted wheels, abrasive mandrels, carbide cutters, Scotch Brite, Abrasive cloth, and polishing compound to achieve desired results. Microscopes are used extensively to detect product non conformances.

Aptitudes:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally. Keen eye hand coordination and the ability to concentrate on small work areas. Ability to perform a variety of tasks and changing assignments on short notice.
