GPS Finish Grade Blade Operator

Cornella Brothers Excavating is hiring for an experienced Finish Blade Operator/Scraper Hand for land development.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years operating motor graders/blades with GPS technology for finish grade operations as well as ability to run scrapers Must be able to prep curb and gutter Blue top Must understand Trimble or Topcon GPS systems. Valid state driver's license Must pass a drug screening and background check

Key Responsibilities:

Operate motor graders/blades with GPS technology with precision, following project plans and project specifications. Strictly abide and adhere to all company safety policies, watching out for yourself and the team as a whole Perform routine machine maintenance including thorough pre-trip inspections, greasing, lubing, and reporting any issues that you may find with the equipment Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors to report progress, challenges, and equipment issues as needed What we are looking for: Proficiency in reading construction drawings and site blueprints Strong commitment to Safety and adherence to Cornella Brothers Excavating Safety Rules & Regulations Experience performing subgrade road preparation for paving is a big plus Willingness to perform additional work assignments at the direction of management Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment, communicating with team members through radio, hand signals, or face to face contact Willingness to run additional support equipment including but not limited to loaders, dozers, excavators, skids, backhoes, compactors, etc. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and at different job sites as required
