Competitive Wages (Based on Experience) We are seeking a highly skilled Finished Blade Operator with extensive oil & gas site development experience to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining well pad locations, lease roads, and related infrastructure while utilizing advanced GPS machine control technology. Required Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience operating finish motor graders in oil & gas, civil, or heavy earthwork construction. Proficient with Trimble and Topcon GPS machine control systems. Experience setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting GPS systems and rover equipment. Ability to build and finish drill pads, well locations, tank batteries, and lease roads to precise specifications. Strong understanding of grade control, drainage, and site preparation requirements for oil & gas operations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, grading plans, site plans, and survey data. Experienced in reading and working from survey stakes, grade stakes, and GPS-generated layouts. Knowledge of cut/fill balancing and finish grading techniques. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with all safety requirements. Responsibilities Operate motor graders safely and efficiently on oil & gas construction projects. Perform finish grading for well pads, access roads, pipeline corridors, and related facilities. Set up and utilize Trimble and Topcon GPS systems to achieve design grades. Work directly with project managers, survey crews, and field supervisors to ensure project accuracy. Verify grades, elevations, and site layout using GPS rover equipment. Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance. Maintain production goals while ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance. Preferred Qualifications Valid Class A CDL preferred but not required. Additional compensation and incentives available for candidates with a current Class A CDL. Experience working in the DJ Basin and surrounding Colorado oil & gas fields. Familiarity with earthwork quantities, site balancing, and as-built verification. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
