Driver's License First Aid Certification Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Wind Turbine Blade Production Technician is responsible for preparing, repairing, and finishing composite wind turbine blades made from fiberglass and epoxy resin. This role includes sanding, grinding, filling, and finishing blade surfaces to meet strict aerodynamic and quality standards. The technician performs visual and physical inspections to identify defects, operates handheld pneumatic and power sanding tools, and works safely with fiberglass and resin materials. This position also requires accurate documentation of completed work through computer-based reporting systems and clear communication of production or site status to engineering teams, customers, and management.

You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive Itinergy's vision and align with our organization's values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Sanding, grinding, filling, and finishing composite (fiberglass and epoxy resin) blades to strict aerodynamic tolerances Performing visual and physical inspections Operating handheld pneumatic and power sanding tools Working with resins and fiberglass materials. Document all work performed using computer- based service reporting procedures. Communicate site status to engineering, customers, and management Travel will be required 100% Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Required Qualifications & Experience :
High School Diploma / GED Osha 10 First aid/CPR Cert Pass a background and Drug screening Have Experience in working with
Wind Turbine Blades Desired Characteristics:
Ability to read and understand Work Instructions Can fill out repair report and document correctly Ensure all safety documentations are submitted Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision. Lightning protection system inspections knowledge Understand technology of wind blade construction and repair Proficient in technical documentation Understanding of mix ratios for all blade repair chemicals Understanding of blade assembly terminology Physical Requirements Must be comfortable working in confined space(s). Frequent Walking (35% of work time allocated) Frequent Standing (35% of work time allocated) Occasional Bending, Kneeling, and Squatting (2.5%-5% of work time allocated) Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
