Position Summary:

AMG-Danbury is seeking a hands-on Metal Finishing | Grinding Technician to join our team. This role involves performing precise grinding and finishing operations on nickel-based components to meet aerospace and defense specifications.

Responsibilities:

As a Metal Finishing | Grinding Technician, your duties will include, but are not limited to: Adhering to all safety policies and procedures to ensure personal and team safety while fostering continuous improvement. Utilizing abrasives, sanders, air tools, and related equipment to grind, polish, and finish components to exact specifications. Interpreting blueprints, work orders, and machining instructions to determine product specifications, tools, and operational sequences. Supporting various job functions through cross-training in related areas. Maintaining compliance with ISO and AS9100 standards and requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proficiency in using power tools, including electric and pneumatic grinders, buffing wheels, and stroke sanders. Consistent adherence to quality standards. Physical stamina, attentiveness, and focus to perform detailed tasks.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to read and interpret work instructions; fluency in English. Proficiency with measuring tools such as verniers, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Effective communication skills. Mechanical background (preferred). Why Join Us?
