Job Description

Our staffing firm is partnering with a premier local precision manufacturing facility to hire a dependable Second Ops Machine Operator . If you are looking for a stable role with a consistent 40-hour workweek, excellent company benefits, and a clean, professional shop environment, this is your next career step. This role focuses on "second operations"—the crucial finishing and post-machining stages that ensure every precision part meets exact tolerances before shipping. We are looking for a true "doer" who loves working with their hands, possesses high mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in a job well done. Your Daily Impact (Key Responsibilities)
Precision Finishing:
Perform essential post-machining operations on metal components, including detailed deburring and grinding.
Quality Inspection:
Use precision measuring instruments—such as micrometers, calipers, and specialized gauges—to verify that all finished parts meet strict blueprint specifications.
Hand Tool Operation:
Safely and effectively utilize a variety of hand tools, air tools, and shop equipment to modify, smooth, and perfect machined parts.
Production Support:
Work efficiently alongside the primary machining team to keep production schedules moving on the second shift.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and strictly adhere to all facility safety protocols. What You Bring to the Team (Requirements)
Mechanical Aptitude:
You are highly mechanically inclined and genuinely enjoy working with your hands and using hand tools.
Relevant Experience:
Prior hands-on experience performing deburring or metal grinding in a shop or manufacturing environment.
Measurement Literacy:
Proven ability to accurately read and interpret calipers, micrometers, and various types of measuring gauges.
Professional Reliability:
A strong work ethic paired with a consistent, reliable work history that shows dedication to your past roles.
Screening:
All candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $16.00 - $18.00
