Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking motivated and detail oriented Deburr Technicians to join our aerospace manufacturing team immediately! In this vital role, you will be responsible to meet precise specifications and quality standards, that can remove loose or fix burrs, clean up sharp edges, polish and blend machined surfaces of company products. Since the act of deburring can alter the dimensional aspects of company products it is imperative that the individual in charge of this task have steady hands and sharp vision. Responsibilities Read, understand and work on Work Instructions and Work Orders as necessary. Use grinding equipment with various types of grinding wheels and Scotch-Brite abrasive wheels to remove burrs. Remove and replace wheels when worn or defective. Use handheld deburring knives and pneumatic tools equipped with burr tools to remove heavy burrs. Use drill press equipped with burr tools to remove heavy burrs. Interchange & replace burr tools as required. Use Vertex and other types of sandpaper to flat sand burrs, nicks, dings & scratches. Utilize illumination devices & microscopes to view internal areas of company products to ensure adequate deburring. Maintain a clean and well-lit workspace; organize all deburring tools and equipment. Skills Must have reliable transportation. Must be dependable and punctual. Must have 5+ years in the machine shop deburring area.
