Press Operator About Carlsen Precision Manufacturing Carlsen Precision Manufacturing, located in Rome, Georgia, is an expansion of Larsen & Shaw Limited, a successful family-owned business with over 100 years of manufacturing excellence. We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality continuous hinges, architectural products, custom metal stampings, and laser-cut components. We are currently seeking a Press Operator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Press Operator is responsible for operating metal stamping presses and producing quality parts in a safe and efficient manner. Position Type:

Permanent, Full-Time Shift:

Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Key Responsibilities Operate metal stamping presses to produce parts according to specifications and established procedures. Assist in Production, Plating, and Shipping departments as required. Produce quality parts with minimal supervision while following standard operating procedures. Meet established production standards, including run times, setup times, and work center uptime goals. Utilize die sensing technology, automation, and other equipment to maximize productivity, including attending multiple presses or operating unattended processes when appropriate. Read and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate part production. Perform in-process inspections and complete first-piece inspections and documentation. Follow work orders, operating procedures, and special instructions accurately. Make minor machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Report raw material and process non-conformances to the supervisor and participate in corrective action activities. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate will possess: Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow established work processes. Basic computer skills. A positive attitude and desire to grow with the company. Willingness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous press operation experience is considered an asset. Valid driver's license preferred.
