The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various machining processes. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines.
Shifts:
Dayshift / Afternoon Duties Operate and monitor CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and plasma cutting equipment. Set up and adjust machine tools according to specifications and blueprints. Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met. Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during operation. Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly tasks as needed. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on machining processes. Proficiency in operating various machinery, including but not limited to press brake machines, stamping presses, electrical discharge machining, and CNC laser cutting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is preferred. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Experience with tooling, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes is advantageous. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely in a manufacturing setting. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality inspection standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
