The Hilo Driver will safely operate a hilo to transfer steel coils or bundles of steel parts from one location to another. Venture Steel requires passing results of a criminal background check, physical, and 5 panel drug test as a condition of employment. Job Responsibilities and Duties Perform preventive maintenance checks daily Safely load and unload coils and pallets Place material safely where it belongs Locate and provide shipping with the material listed on the work orders. Maintain a clean work area Report any and all quality concerns promptly Perform all tasks in a safe manner, using good judgement Additional tasks assigned by supervisor Required Experience and Skills/Abilities Two years of hilo experience in a steel processing environment Must be able to lift 20 pounds Must be able to walk long distances Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time Excellent depth perception and reaction time Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records
