Full Job Description Location:
Grand Rapids, MI Shift:
1st
Shift Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:00
PM Mandatory Overtime:
Fridays and Saturdays as production requires
Pay:
$19.00 per hour

Full-Time Job Responsibilities Inspection
  • Inspect castings for defects and dimensional accuracy.
  • Identify common casting defects and segregate nonconforming parts in accordance with quality standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately.
  • Segregate nonconforming materials. Finishing
  • Grind, sand, and remove excess material from castings.
  • Prepare parts for final packaging or secondary processing.
  • Maintain finishing tools and equipment. Pouring Operations
  • Transport and pour molten metal into molds safely.
  • Monitor pour rate and mold fill levels.
  • Ensure proper fill and minimize defects.
  • Identify and report irregularities.
  • Coordinate with Furnace and Mold Operators. Saw Operations
  • Operate band saw or other cutting equipment to trim castings to required dimensions.
  • Set up saw equipment according to job specifications.
  • Verify measurements prior to cutting.
  • Adjust blade speed, feed rate, and positioning as needed.
  • Monitor equipment performance during operation.
Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of foundry, casting, or heat-treating experience Experience finishing or cutting metal castings Heavy industrial or manufacturing background Work Environment This position is performed in a hot, industrial foundry environment with exposure to molten metal, moving equipment, and industrial noise. Required PPE must be worn at all times.
