FORGING PRESS OPERATOR

Primary Function This position contributes to the company's success by having a thorough understanding of setting up, operating and maintaining heavy-duty forging presses to shape, form or taper metal components according to precise technical specifications. This role ensures that raw materials are transformed into high-quality parts while meeting production targets and quality standards. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with the press crew in making open die forgings and seamless rolled rings Operates forklift and manipulator (Heavy Equipment) to move materials through the manufacturing process to shape metal parts according to specifications. Position heated metal pieces (billets) onto the press die using heavy equipment Excellent attention to detail and quality control. Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not necessary.
