Responsibilities Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing of stainless-steel components and assemblies Operate hand grinders and other finishing tools to achieve specified surface finishes Read and interpret blueprints and detail drawings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances Inspect and measure finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring proper handling of tools and materials Operate overhead crane and/or forklift as needed Maintain materials flat and free of digging Identify the grain of the material to assess whether the process has been completed and the part is ready to move forward Familiarity with different grits of sandpaper Work in confined spaces and varying temperature environments Recommend improvements and contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives Execute other tasks as assigned Ability to travel when required Work in bent, kneeling, or squatting positions for extended periods Hold objects weighing 10 to 15 pounds away from the body for prolonged durations Requirements High School Graduate or equivalent Two (2) years previous fabrication or metal finishing experience preferred Ability to perform basic math equations and read a tape measure Strong attention to detail and accuracy in finishing processes Proficient in using hand tools and finishing equipment Self-motivated and able to work independently Proficient in reading blueprints Maintain a clean and safe working environment Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean/Six Sigma is a plus Typical work is in a manufacturing environment or customer's site Company Background ABEC is a leading supplier to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Mon-Thurs 7:00am-3:30pm, Fri 5:00am-1:30pm

Second Shift:

Mon-Thurs 3:25pm-11:55pm, Fri 1:15pm-9:45pm Are you willing to accept a pay rate between $21.00 and $30.00 per hour? Have you worked with different finish standards (e.g., #4, #6, 320 grit (15-35Ra)) Can you read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints?
