Machine Operator (Saw) 2nd Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Saw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the metal industry performing material handling and operating machinery such as metal cutting band saws and press breaks. This role involves using hoists to load material onto rollers, being proficient with a tape measure and square, and operating forklifts to unload processed materials.

Duties:

• Operate band saws and maintain cleanliness of machines.
• Read cut lists and specifications to plan and execute production runs.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and company quality control guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize press brake machine capabilities to bend and shape metal parts.
• Collaborate with other production staff to meet production targets and deadlines.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Saw Operator or in a related role.
• Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in operating various machine tools and equipment.
• Experience with CNC programming.
• Ability to read tape measures (standard and metric).
• Familiarity with press brake machines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, stand of an entire shift, and lift heavy materials.
