This detail-oriented role requires a commitment to achieving a flawless finish. Prioritize production of counter dies to meet established deadlines and shipping schedules. Ensure proper finishing and counter die making techniques are followed throughout the process. In a well-lit workstation, utilize sanding blocks and a Drummel tool station (equipped with various fine-polishing tips) to sand, smooth, and polish metal stamping dies to achieve a flawless finish. Meticulously finish all counter dies, adhering to h+m's established quality standards. Conduct thorough initial and final inspections as outlined in the Work Order and Quality Manual. Perform die strikes as needed for internal or customer requirements. Participate in monthly and year-end inventory counts for raw materials, shop supplies, and finished goods. Assist the Counterdie Technician during peak times or absences to ensure smooth operation. Be open to cross-training opportunities to serve as backup for other roles. Process incoming shipments of raw materials and shop supplies. Unpack, stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels. Submit completed and stamped packing slips to the office. Physical abilities:
Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 40 lbs.
Mobility:
The role requires extended periods of sitting and standing.
Technical skills:
Possess basic computer skills, use of calipers, measuring equipment Continuous improvement: Maintain a process optimization mindset. High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge on reading calipers/tape measure. Manufacturing experience Manufacturing metalwork Counter Die is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office plus
