In this role, you will support various machining and fabrication processes, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Your hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude will contribute to the creation of high-quality components, utilizing a range of industrial equipment and tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in manufacturing operations within a fast-paced environment committed to safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities Material Handling & Setup :
Load and unload raw materials, parts, or products onto/off pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks; deliver metal parts to work areas; lift and secure parts on machines using hand tools or hoists.
Machine Operation :
Operate machines such as band saws, drill presses, plasma torches, press brakes, and other general metalworking equipment, following part drawings or specifications.
Maintenance & Housekeeping :
Perform operator-level maintenance, clean work areas, remove metal chips/shavings, and keep production zones organized.
Fabrication & Finishing :
Cut, bend, thread, and finish metal parts; remove burrs or excess metal; inspect parts for accuracy and dimensions.
Support Duties :
Assist primary machine operators, help with tooling, and perform other tasks as assigned to meet production goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications Education :
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Technical Skills :
Ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers), work with metric measurements, and perform basic shop math.
Mechanical Knowledge :
Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and safety procedures.
Equipment Operation :
Forklift, overhead crane, hoist, pallet jack, and other shop equipment.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
Typical Work Environment Setting :
Manufacturing facility with CNC, manual, and automated machine tools.
Work Pace :
Fast-paced, with frequent changes in tasks and priorities.
Safety :
Strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols is required
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
