Convolutor Operator If you're seeking a detail-oriented machine operation position, this Convolutor Operator opening could be a great fit! You'll set up and operate a tube convolution testing machine and additional equipment at a growing manufacturer's Laconia, NH facility. Responsibilities of the Convolutor Operator Select and install brass seals, nylon dies, forming dies/mandrels, and compression dies/mandrels Load tubing and select, operate and adjust computer-controlled programs Select sample tooling, section hose samples, and inspect to PS 499 using a shadowgraph and wall thickness gauge Monitor hydraulic forming pressure while machine is running Measure hose using a micrometer and calipers, and adjust as required for dimensional compliance Compress formed hose to appropriate PS 499 compression templates Store incoming tube Maintain tooling and equipment Use band saw to trim cut hose ends Complete documentation Maintain a clean, safe work area Perform additional tasks as assigned Qualifications of the Convolutor Operator One year certificate from college or technical school; 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Basic math skills Ability to interpret blueprints, follow written and verbal instructions, and use precision measurement tools Good communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
