HumanHire is partnered with a well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Ronkonkoma that is expanding its machining team and is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder . The CNC Grinder will be responsible for operating and maintaining cutter grinding machines to sharpen and recondition cutting tools used in production.

Salary:

Up to $30/hr

Schedule:

Monday

• Friday (Shifts Available 7 am
• 3:30 pm, 3:30 pm-12 am, and 5:30 pm
• 2 am)

CNC Grinder Responsibilities:

Operate and set up tool and cutter grinding machines to sharpen, recondition, and maintain cutting tools including end mills, drills, reamers, inserts, and other precision tooling. Read and interpret blueprints, tooling specifications, work orders, and technical drawings to determine required dimensions, angles, tolerances, and tool geometry. Select appropriate grinding wheels and adjust machine settings, wheel speed, feed rate, and depth of cut to achieve precise tooling specifications and surface finishes. Inspect and measure cutting tools using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other precision measurement equipment. Perform routine grinding equipment maintenance, troubleshoot tooling issues, maintain accurate inspection records, and follow all quality and safety procedures.

CNC Grinder Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with tool and cutter grinding, precision grinding, or cutter grinding in a manufacturing environment. Experience sharpening or reconditioning end mills, drills, reamers, inserts, and other cutting tools. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings and work accurately to tight dimensions and tolerances. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using precision measuring instruments, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
