Finishing Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Finisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various finishing processes and be proficient in operating a range of small hand tools and bench style machinery. This department has several levels of advancement available. This role is essential for ensuring that our products meet quality aerospace standards and specifications before they are delivered to clients. The Finisher will work closely with other team members to maintain efficiency and uphold safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate and maintain finishing equipment, including drill and tap presses, buffing machines, bench grinders, files and debur lathe to remove mechanical part burrs, drill and tap fine holes and improve surface finishes. Perform precision measuring tasks using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate finishing of production components. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery and processes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols. Management experience a plus. Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred. Familiarity with small hand tools and power equipment such as drill press and small lathe. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand simple to complex finishing instructions. Experience with metal fabrication techniques is a plus. Basic math skills are necessary for measurements and calculations during the finishing process. Attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection practices. Must good eye sight with or without corrective lenses. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
