Job Description
Superalloy Manufacturing Solutions Corporation in Cincinnati, OH is currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Precision Hand Finishers. We offer great pay and incentives for 2nd and 3rd shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of air-powered grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools to handcraft parts. Your primary focus will be removing imperfections such as pitting, burrs, and protrusions while ensuring precise contours and tolerances. You will also ensure that each part meets the customer's specifications and production standards, including completing routers with inspection data and performing minor tool maintenance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Polishing and Grinding Techniques :
Knowledge of using tools like pencil grinders, bench grinders, and polishing tools to smooth or refine metal surfaces.Deburring Skills :
Ability to remove burrs, sharp edges, or other imperfections from metal parts using abrasive tools, hand tools, or powered machinery. This is crucial to prevent sharp edges from causing safety hazards or issues in final assembly.Surface Finishing :
Understanding how to achieve the required surface finish (e.g., smoothness, glossiness) as specified by the engineering or quality control teams.Use of Abrasives and Buffing Materials :
Familiarity with various abrasive compounds, sandpapers, polishing wheels, and buffs.Knowledge of Equipment :
Proficiency in using equipment such as belt sanders, handheld grinders, polishers, vibratory deburring machines, pneumatic tools, and other manual or automated machines. Ensuring correct dimensions of radii, wall thickness, and surface finish. Completing inspection information for each part run. Performing deburring tasks and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Ability to sit for long hours and apply great attention to detail while maintaining quality standards. Previous experience using air-powered grinders, sanders, or similar tools is preferred, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment and focus on quality and detail. Competitive Pay + Shift Premiums 1st shift (Experienced Only) 2nd shift 3:00pm- 11:00p M
- F plus 15% shift premium 3rd shift 11:00pm-7:15am S-Th plus 10% shift premium Weekend shift following training period
- 6am-6pm Sat/Sun & 1 week day 36 hours, paid 40 hours.
