Lead Thermal Spray -
Coating Technician Cincinnati, OH Weekend Shift:

As a Lead Thermal Spray Coating Technician you'll support daily thermal spray operations by working closely with a team of technicians. This role is highly hands-on, combining technical expertise with team leadership to guide day-to-day activities, promote best practices, and foster a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a resource and mentor to the team, helping drive quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while contributing directly to coating operations. What you'll do : Lead and support a team of thermal spray technicians in daily operations Set up, operate, and troubleshoot thermal spray equipment (e.g., HVOF, plasma, arc spray) Ensure coatings meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards Monitor and optimize spray parameters, material usage, and process efficiency Train and mentor team members on equipment, processes, and safety procedures Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and ensure proper documentation Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve process issues and implement improvements Maintain compliance with safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and company policies Assist in scheduling, workload balancing, and meeting production targets Carries out other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Thermal Spray or Plasma Spray Coatings 1+ years of experience working with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.Desired Skills:
Prior team lead experience preferred Possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings and/or blueprints.Benefits that make life better:
