1st Shift Hire Sync is hiring an experienced Metal Grinder / Metal Finisher for a 1st shift opportunity with an established Cleveland manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on, heavier-duty position finishing welded metal assemblies using hand grinders, wire wheels, Scotch-Brite, and other hand tools. We are specifically looking for candidates who already have experience with metal grinding or finishing. If you have worked with welded steel, fabricated metal parts, surface preparation, deburring, or similar metal finishing processes, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Grind and finish welded metal assemblies to meet quality requirements Use hand grinders, wire wheels, Scotch-Brite, and other hand and power tools Remove weld spatter, burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections Smooth and prepare metal surfaces for the next stage of production Visually inspect finished work for quality and consistency Work with steel and fabricated metal components in a hands-on manufacturing environment Follow work instructions and established finishing procedures Safely operate grinding and finishing tools throughout the shift Maintain tools and keep the work area clean and organized Work closely with welders, fabricators, and other production team members Follow all required safety procedures What We're Looking For Previous metal grinding or metal finishing experience strongly preferred Experience working with welded assemblies, fabricated steel, or other metal products Hands-on experience using grinders and other metal finishing tools Comfortable using wire wheels, Scotch-Brite, and various hand and power tools Ability to recognize when a metal surface has been properly finished Previous fabrication, welding shop, or metal manufacturing experience is a plus Powder coating experience is a strong plus Ability to perform physical, hands-on work throughout the shift Strong attention to detail and quality Dependable and able to take direction Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Steel-toe boots required; safety glasses will be provided Why Join Us?
