CNC Tool Cutter/Grinder

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Cutter/Grinder to recondition and manufacture cutting tools to precise specifications. In this role, you will set up and operate grinding machines, inspect finished tools, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to the efficiency and effectiveness of our tooling processes. Responsibilities Operate and maintain CNC grinding machines to re-sharpen, recondition, or manufacture cutting tools. Inspect finished tools using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. Set up machines efficiently, including selecting and installing appropriate grinding wheels and fixtures. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including tooling inventory and machine maintenance logs. Collaborate with the shop supervisor to address tooling issues and optimize grinding processes. Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean workspace. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in basic math. Ability to interpret blueprints and work order instructions accurately. Experience with CNC grinding equipment. Preferred Skills Prior experience training others on grinding processes. Familiarity with various cutting tool materials and geometries. Strong communication and reporting skills.
