Fabrication / Layout Technician (2nd Shift)

Buckeye Fabricating Company, a recognized leader in ASME Code pressure vessel fabrication, is seeking a skilled Lay-Out / Fabricator to join our team on 2nd shift. If you've spent time running CNC plasma and other metal fabricating equipment this role is built for you! We are seeking fabricators who enjoy hands-on craftsmanship, take pride in precision work, and are confident operating heavy fabrication equipment. As a Fabrication / Layout Technician•(2nd Shift) , you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and preparing materials for fabrication using a variety of tools and equipment. You'll work closely with welders and engineers to ensure precision and quality in every project.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Operate fabrication equipment including:

Hydraulic-driven plate rolls (rolling shells, cones, and formed sections) CNC plasma table Bandsaw Drill press Lathe Break press Use overhead crane and forklift for material handling and rigging. Utilize AutoCAD and ProNest software for layout and nesting operations. Prepare and lay out materials for welding and assembly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment. Collaborate with welders and other team members to meet production goals.

Required Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with plate rolls, CNC plasma/laser systems, metal lathes, or ironworker machines . Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with AutoCAD and ProNest software. Strong rigging and material-handling skills. Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and safety-minded. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
