We are looking for a Deburring & Finishing Operator to help clean, finish, organize, and move steel parts through production. This role is the bridge between cutting and quality. As a Deburring & Finishing Operator, you run deburring equipment, hand-finish parts when needed, and stage material so production keeps moving. When this role is done right, parts move forward clean, safe, and ready for inspection. When it is not, work backs up, rework increases, and the next operation slows down. This is hands-on, physical work for someone who can keep pace, stay consistent, and take pride in doing the job right.
Pay, Shift & Growth Opportunity Base Pay:
$18.50/hour, based on experience

Benefits Direct hire position Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) starting at 90 days Life insurance Shortterm disability and supplemental coverage options Performance and attendancebased incentives Ongoing training and skill development Crosstraining and advancement opportunities Stable, fulltime work with overtime opportunities What You'll Do Operate deburring and finishing equipment to clean and finish steel parts Load, unload, move, and position steel parts manually or with lifting equipment as trained Remove sharp edges, slag, burrs, and surface issues from cut parts Use hand tools and grinders when machine finishing is not enough Inspect parts for cleanliness, edge condition, finish quality, and obvious defects Label, stack, organize, and stage material correctly for the next operation Keep finished parts moving so production does not back up Follow work instructions and basic job information Use basic measurements, including tape measure and shop math, as trained Communicate quality, workflow, material, or equipment issues early Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE requirements What We Expect You own the finish — dirty, sharp, or poorly finished parts do not move forward You work with urgency while keeping control of quality and safety You stay consistent during repetitive physical work You pay attention to details like part condition, marking, stacking, and staging You keep your area moving so the next operation is not waiting You stay aware of your surroundings in an active manufacturing environment You communicate problems instead of ignoring them You show up reliably and understand that attendance matters You are willing to learn, improve, and take on more responsibility over time Required Qualifications Previous physical labor experience required, such as manufacturing, construction, roofing, landscaping, masonry, concrete, warehouse, material handling, or similar work Comfortable with repetitive physical work in a manufacturing environment Able to safely handle steel parts and use hand tools Able to lift, move, bend, stand, walk, and work on your feet throughout the shift Able to work in varying shop conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and active equipment movement Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly Willingness to learn and improve Preferred Qualifications Experience in a steel shop, fabrication shop, warehouse, or manufacturing environment Deburring, grinding, finishing, or hand tool experience Machine operation experience Forklift, crane, or material handling experience Basic tape measure, shop math, or measurement experience Experience reading work orders, tags, labels, or basic production paperwork What Winning Looks Like Finished parts are clean, safe, and ready for inspection Sharp edges, burrs, slag, and obvious quality issues are caught before parts move forward Material is labeled, stacked, organized, and staged correctly Production keeps moving because finished parts do not pile up Rework is reduced Your work area stays clean, safe, and controlled You stay reliable, consistent, and productive throughout the shift You build trust and become someone the team can count on Why Precision Steel Deburring & Finishing Operators do not just clean steel.
