Located within easy reach of the national capital region, our facility offers a dynamic environment focused on precision manufacturing and quality craftsmanship.
Position Summary:
Under limited to general supervision, operates and deburing equipment to maintain surface finish requirements and extremely close tolerances. This may include limited other operations such as drill presses, saws, and hand and power equipment of similar complexity. Operation is routine and repetitive.
Essential Functions:
Grinding of surface to meet finish requirements while and holding extremely close tolerances. Operation of multiple debur tools and downdraft tables. Machine operation involves loading and tending runs of parts, drilling or sawing operations. Works from blueprints or verbalized instructions. Checks height, depth and thickness using calipers and surface conditions visually. May make simple machine and tool adjustments. May rotate into other positions within the team as required to meet production requirements. Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled. Implements the Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities. Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.). Problem-solves individually or as part of a group as job duties require. May be required to work overtime.
