- 2 PM, for a minimum of 4 weeks Job Summary We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to join our production team as Pattern Finishers.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and repairing wax patterns and soluble cores used in the manufacturing process. You will use a variety of hand tools, including torches, hot pencils, and scrapers, to ensure every component meets strict dimensional and visual quality standards.
Core Responsibilities Pattern Assembly:
Assemble multiple wax components into visually and dimensionally accurate patterns using specialized fixtures and wax welding techniques.
RepairRestoration:
Fix broken or damaged patterns by wax welding fragments or using stock wax to reconstruct missing areas and reform contours.
Precision Finishing:
Remove flash, mismatch, and surface imperfections using hand tools. Fill voids or "negatives" using paint wax and melted stock wax to meet inspection criteria.
Technical Compliance:
Read and follow engineering instructions to ensure all modifications, including dimensional alterations and hole plugging, are accurate.
Serialization:
Identify and mark patterns with specific serial pads and numbers as required.
SafetyMaintenance:
Maintain a clean workspace, safely operate all equipment, and adhere to all plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience as a Wax Cleaner, Wax Assembler, or a similar role in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and hand tools. Ability to use moderately complex measuring devices and fixtures.
Manual Dexterity:
Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform fine-detail work.
Instructions:
Proven ability to follow complex written and verbal technical instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing 30-50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 125 pounds.
Work Environment:
Comfortable working in an industrial setting that may include noise, fumes, and chemicals.
