Deburring Technician

Job Description The Deburring Technician is responsible for operating automated deburring equipment to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from stamped or machined washers and gaskets. This role ensures parts meet dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and quality requirements in accordance with customer specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities Operate dry & water barrel deburring equipment Load, unload, and stage high-volume washers and gaskets for processing Verify correct part numbers, programs, and tooling prior to operation Monitor machine cycles to ensure consistent edge break and surface finish Perform visual and tactile inspections for burrs, sharp edges, and defects Use basic measuring tools (micrometers and calipers) to verify thickness, diameter, and finish Perform secondary hand deburring when required Identify and report nonconforming parts or equipment issues Maintain accurate production counts and complete required data entry Keep work area clean and organized Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Additional Responsibilities Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance Assist with packaging and labeling of finished washers and gaskets Work with Quality and Production teams to improve finishing consistency Support continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Manufacturing or CNC machine experience preferred Experience with small, high-volume parts a plus Ability to follow work instructions and quality standards Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Team-oriented with the ability to work independently Physical & Safety Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift 50+ pounds Repetitive hand movements and fine motor skills required Must be able to read micrometers and calipers Must be trained in
