Job Description
Lead Operator At Axem Distributing, we take pride in maintaining an environment that is customer centered. As a result, we seek to hire motivated individuals who are just like us. We are looking for an experienced Lead Operator who can monitor a variety of CNC machines, such as Multi axis Lathes, Grinders, Robots, and help to enhance the productivity of our organization. The successful candidate will monitor machine output each hour, and plan current and upcoming jobs. Responsibilities:
- Use blueprints, specifications, work orders, drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan daily machining and assembly.
- Setup equipment for operators and train them in standard work for each product.
- Monitor stock to ensure project completions.
- Detect and troubleshoot system malfunctions through taking measurements, adjusting offsets, tool changes and closely monitoring tooling, grinding, grooving, drilling, turning, cutting, tool breakages.
- Inspect the work area and machines daily recording issues and logging data for continuous improvement.
- Adhere to all company, local, state, federal protocol, and safety regulations.
- Communicate assignments to team members and accurately document daily production operations to maintain continuity.
- Accomplish company objectives via accepting responsibilities for completing innovative and new requests while also exploring value adding opportunities.
- Approach all shop tasks assigned with a positive can-do attitude.
- Maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized shop & workspace.
- Ability to operate hand machine shop equipment including Mill's, Lathes, Grinders, Saws, Drill Press, Shop Press and Hand Tools.
- Complete documentation for work orders and production sheets.
Requirements:
- 3 years of machine shop experience creating parts from prints to finished products.
- Vocational certificate in machining or AS in technical field.
- Must be able to measure parts and understand G-Code and tooling setups to make offsets to ensure parts are to print.
