Field Service Technician Location:
Freeport, TX Duration:
12-Month Contract (Potential Extension) We are seeking an experienced Instrument Fitter / Field Service Technician to support industrial process control and instrumentation systems in Freeport, TX. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairs, tubing installation, control system support, and field service work for instrumentation, DCS, and process automation systems. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience, can work independently, and is comfortable supporting industrial plant operations, customer sites, and process control systems.Key Responsibilities:
Install, run, and gang tubing while following technical drawings and specifications Troubleshoot, repair, and modify instrumentation and process control systems Support DCS, analog and digital control loops, and supervisory systems Perform field startup, testing, and validation of instrumentation and communication systems Read and interpret drawings, panel diagrams, and process documentation Complete service reports, documentation, and quality records accurately Assist with system upgrades, software enhancements, and equipment modifications Provide technical support and assist with training for customers and new hires SupportISO 9000
quality standards and ensure safe work practicesQualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience 5-7 years of experience with process control systems, instrumentation, or field service work Strong experience with tubing installation and gang tubing required Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and industrial control systems independently Experience reading technical drawings and control diagrams Strong communication and customer service skills Must be willing to travel and support extended field assignments About Us Advantage Technical connects top- talent in technology, engineering, and technical fields with forward-looking companies.
