THE ROLE

The Patch & Finish Team Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating a crew focused on repairing, detailing, and finishing precast products to meet company quality standards. This role ensures all patching, finishing, and corrective work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications prior to delivery to the jobsite.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead and coordinate patch and finish crew daily work assignments

Perform patching, finishing, and repair work on precast products as needed

Inspect work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met

Move on and around forms, product, trailers, and elevated work platforms safely

Handle and transport materials required for finishing and repair tasks

Operate hand and power tools including grinders, drills, and cut-off saws

Use or learn gas/acetylene torch work for finishing applications

Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided if needed)

Perform concrete-related work including pouring, leveling, and finishing

Apply knowledge of rigging and safe product handling techniques

Train, coach, and support crew members in proper procedures and safety practices

Support specialized finishing processes including sandblasting, polishing, and acid washing

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong construction or precast finishing experience. They are comfortable working in physically demanding environments while guiding a team to meet production and quality standards. This individual leads by example, communicates clearly, and ensures safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship remain top priorities.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

High School Diploma or GED required

2+ years of concrete experience

Proven leadership experience

Ability to read and interpret pour sheets and installation instructions

Basic English communication skills for team coordination

Ability to operate or learn forklift and overhead crane operation

General math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately

Strong awareness of safety practices in a production environment

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
• Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
• Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
• Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)

Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
