Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize proper handling procedures to ensure that the metal product is not damaged. Ensure all materials are correctly identified and labeled. Report any non-conforming metal product promptly. Set up and operate machinery to complete the required processes. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Adhere to all company policies, rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Flexible availability, including overtime and weekends as needed. Self-motivated, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Capable of understanding and interpreting order requirements and specifications. Detail-oriented, ability to follow procedures and complete documentation as required. Good math skills with proficiency in using precision measurements. The ability to speak, read and write in English. Ability to use and read tape measurements and micrometers. Ability to use hand powered tools. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively. Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays. 2 years' minimum experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of machinery commonly used in the metals industry. Scanning gun - RF gun. Basic computer proficiency required. Knowledge of
ISO 9000
standards is a plus. Forklift and crane operation experience preferred. Must pass an evaluation prior to independent operation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to spend 80% of the day standing. Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull. Ability to climb into and out of side loaders and fork trucks. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Ability to lift 50 lbs. (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (11.3kg).
