Job Description Position Title:
OD/ID Grinder Wage:
$20- 24/hour Based on experience
Shift:
1stHours:
7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group is hiring an OD/ID Grinder for a company in Houston, TX. This is an associate to hire opportunity. OD/ID Grinder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
- Operate and set up NC grinding machines
- Grind parts to precise specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment clean
- Use hand and angle grinders as needed
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards
- Track and communicate quality issues or non-conformances
- Organize tasks and maintain a clean, orderly workspace
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and complete additional duties as assigned
OD/ID Grinder Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical degree or certification preferred
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience or relevant training preferred
- Experience operating grinding or lathe equipment is a plus
- Basic math and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Prolonged standing and walking
