Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance SI Utility is seeking a skilled Plasma Cut Table Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting equipment to cut steel and structural materials according to engineering drawings and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will take pride in precision, safety, and maintaining high quality standards. Key Responsibilities Power on and inspect the cut table daily to ensure proper and safe operation. Turn gas bottles on/off daily and replace bottles as needed. Load the correct material onto the cut table according to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and production print. Load and manage DXF cut files from USB/thumb drive to computer for programming. Create and adjust nest programs based on customer and project requirements. Select and install correct plasma tips and consumables based on plate thickness. Measure and verify part dimensions using a tape measure to ensure accuracy against prints. Clearly mark all cut parts with customer name, material grade, and part number. Track daily production and material usage using consumption forms. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely to move materials and parts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced fabrication environment while meeting production deadlines.
General Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of the workday. Occasional bending, squatting, ladder/stair climbing, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Must be able to accurately assess weights, distances, and heights for safe material handling.
