Job Description

Instrument Fitter - Rack Tubing Hot Job Sugar Land, TX 77478 Apply Apply Description Mako Industries is seeking experienced Instrument Fitters - Rack Tubing that will be responsible for the installation, fabrication, routing, bending, and connection of instrument tubing systems on racks and process equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and industry standards. The role ensures safe, accurate, and high-quality installation to support plant operations and project requirements. Read and interpret P&IDs, hook-up drawings, isometrics, and instrumentation layouts. Measure, cut, bend, and install stainless steel and copper tubing for instrumentation systems. Fabricate and assemble tubing supports, brackets, and mounting hardware. Install tube fittings, valves, manifolds, and instrument connections. Route and secure tubing on racks, skids, and process equipment according to project specifications. Perform tubing pressure tests, leak tests, and quality inspections. Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, client requirements, and quality standards. Identify and resolve installation issues during construction and commissioning phases. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Coordinate with supervisors to ensure timely project completion. Qualifications Experience in instrumentation tubing installation and fitting. Ability to read engineering and instrumentation drawings. Knowledge of tube bending techniques, compression fittings, and instrumentation systems. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and permit-to-work procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Assessment Requirement:
All Instrument Fitters must successfully complete an onsite 3-line rack tubing test to demonstrate proficiency in tubing layout, bending, fitting, and installation techniques.
