The Abrasive Blast Operator's role involves performing abrasive blasting on various steel and stainless-steel castings. The Abrasive Blasting Operator is performed at various stages of the casting and finishing process. The Abrasive Blast Operator works with Finishing Leads and supervisors to ensure that the finished surfaces meet the customers quality expectations.Primary Responsibilities:
Operate various abrasive blasting machines, using manual and automatic processes to remove sand, scale and other materials from steel casting surfaces Use pneumatic chipping hammers to remove sand, chills, or other adhering objects for the casting surface Transport, setup, and reposition castings using overhead cranes and mobile lift trucks, as needed Participate in special activities, projects, and training to support department and company goals Demonstrate behavior that is conducive to creating a safe and healthy work environment Ensure that you understand and follow all safety, sustainability communications, and work instructions Report to supervisors on all incidents and accidentsExperience:
Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred Previous experience operating Abrasive blasting equipment is desiredQualifications:
Ability to fill out daily production & labor sheets High School Diploma or equivalent, preferredPay Range:
$21.19-$24.97Schedule:
