The Polisher will use instruments and hand tools to precisely shape, size, and polish work pieces in a Toolroom setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability and desire to work on first shift. Measure and polish tooling surfaces to required specifications on print. You will use micrometers, gages and a comparator. Setup and calibrate all necessary measuring equipment which includes O.D. micrometers, bore gages, depth micrometers, hole micrometers, dial calipers, surface gages, and gage blocks. Pour castings to check shape using an optical comparator. Inspect all tooling being released to press floor to confirm size and finish requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read precise measuring instruments (digital and analog) Ability to read blueprints. Ability to sit, lift, reach, bend, or stand for entire shift. Good hand to eye coordination. Confidence working near rotating lathe chucks. Excellent attention to detail
