Job Summary/Overview The Deburring Technician is responsible for ensuring that all machined parts are burr-free and meet quality standards by operating various hand/air tools and buffers. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining safety and quality standards, proper documentation, and the upkeep of equipment and accessories to support the achievement of Dorner's business goals and objectives. Work Schedule (4-Day Work Week)! Monday - Thursday 2:00pm - 12:30am Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow standard operating procedures to deburr and finish various types and styles of product from start to finish while sitting or standing.
Read and interpret blueprints to verify configuration meets requirements.
Self-inspect all parts for quality and report any abnormalities to the Supervisor.
Enter job details into Epicor.
Use of small machinery, power tools, hand tools.
Follow all safety procedures and report any safety-related issues to the Supervisor.
Work with team members and others using Lean/Continuous Improvement processes to develop and utilize process improvements that positively impact operations by reducing waste, reducing safety risks and improving quality. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities A team player with excellent communication skills.
Basic computer, measurement, and math skills.
Mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading skills.
Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands.
Attention to detail. Required Qualifications Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely.
Valid Drivers License preferred. Compensation 2nd shift receives an additional shift premium of $2 per hour. Benefits 2nd shift off on Fridays
