As an Asbestos Worker, you will be at the forefront of environmental safety, utilizing specialized skills to handle asbestos abatement with precision and care. Your dedication will help create healthier environments while advancing your career in the construction and remediation industries. Responsibilities Safely perform asbestos abatement procedures in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and industry best practices Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, decontamination units, and necessary safety equipment Remove, bag, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials following strict safety protocols Conduct air monitoring tests to ensure environmental safety during and after abatement activities Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, waste tracking, and compliance records Collaborate with project managers, safety officers, and other team members to ensure all procedures meet regulatory standards Assist with mold remediation, restoration tasks, and other construction-related activities as needed to support project completion Skills Proven experience with asbestos abatement processes and procedures Knowledge of OSHA standards related to hazardous materials handling and worker safety Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety protocols Ability to operate specialized equipment such as HEPA vacuums, negative air machines, and personal protective gear Excellent attention to detail for inspection, documentation, and quality control tasks Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report findings accurately Certifications in asbestos removal or abatement are highly preferred; ongoing training in mold remediation or restoration is a plus Join us in making a difference by ensuring safe environments through expert asbestos removal!
