Job Description
Operate molding presses and open/close molds for production needs and repairs. Set, pull, clean, and inspect molds to ensure proper installation, completeness, and readiness for production. Troubleshoot basic mold‑related issues and verify correct nozzle length, carriage settings, clamp stops, and safety features. Confirm that all electrical, water, and air hookups are functioning properly and free of leaks; test molds for electrical, water, and air performance before release. Clean, check, wire, and maintain mold heaters and mold components as needed. Maintain accurate mold maintenance records, documenting dates, work completed, and responsible personnel. Keep molding machine areas and shop workspaces clean, organized, and safe. Assist Tool Room staff with mold and equipment repairs and report damaged molds or supply needs to Tooling leadership. Green‑tag molds that meet production‑ready standards and complete inspections as required.
